My AI Policy

I occasionally use AI tools like Google Gemini for research purposes. However, I do not use any AI tools to write or generate the text and images that you read and see on Opus, nor do I intend to use any such tools in the future. Furthermore, any research gleaned from AI tools is carefully vetted and verified.

I enjoy the process of writing, of sorting through and making sense of my thoughts concerning a particular topic, be it an album, a movie, etc. Although AI might be helpful for research and organization, using it to actually write feels like cheating to me. Also, it undermines the whole point of having a blog, which is to have a platform for expressing yourself in your voice, unfiltered and unmitigated. I don’t want to use something else to speak for me using a mimicry of my voice and writing style.
