Reviews of Various Artists

Many of the songs on the release have a theatrical feel to them.

Featuring Freescha, Aarktica, Lowlights, Momus, The California Oranges, Crispy Ambulance, and more.

This probably kicks more ass than any soundtrack has a right to.

As a fan of all things drone-y, blissed out, and dreampop, this one hit the sweet spot.

90% of this comp is filled with beautiful, lo-fi treasures.

I recommend you put a blindfold, throw away the liner notes, and listen to all of this fresh stuff.

Osito has done the hard task of balancing variety with quality, and somehow manages to excel at both.

Shelflife have gathered bands from all around the world to create a soundtrack for sunny days with the occasional rain shower.

A nice compilation that shows off the Japanese shoegaze scene.

Ultimately, though, the question should be whether or not a compilation like this makes me want to seek out the original.

Anyone who considers themselves a fan of World Serpent, Projekt, Cold Meat, or other similar labels would do themselves well to find a copy.

Simply put, this disc is all over the place, jumping from dub to hip-hop, drum n’ bass to club-friendly downbeat.

An uneventful mix made up of mostly boring and pointless tracks.

The best way to enjoy this disk is not really so much as a Low record, but as a relatively well-done compilation of electronic and ambient music.

Much of the music on here is pretty challenging, but fortunately for the listener, it almost always delivers.

The majority of the compilation’s 16 songs have a techno-industrial flavor.

A true treasure at heart with anyone who enjoys the sounds of industrial and electronic music.

The soundtrack is a great sampler of some of the best acts on the Australian music scene.

Buy this album, if only to see what’s currently happening in cutting-edge Christian music.

An honest, sincere, and moving tribute to one of the most beautiful seasons of the year.
