The Color of Paradise is one of the few films that I can recommend without any reservations whatsoever.

Shortly after his death, Satoshi Kon’s family posted these final words on his blog.

When the film worked — which it did, more often than not — it left me positively giddy with a huge smile on my face.

In doesn’t surprise me at all that the movie has created a lot of discussion, commentary, and collective head-scratching.

Inception won’t be out until July 16, but it’s already racked up some extremely positive reviews.

I have no interest in seeing Sex and the City 2 but I am entertained by the reviews that savage the film.
