When a CD like Summer at Shatter Creek’s Sink or Swim arrives, it feels like a tiny little blessing.

These are haunting ballads that conjure up smoky, rundown LA nightclubs you only see in David Lynch films.

Even with the album’s obvious flaws, Summer Make Good is certainly no reason to write off or dismiss Múm.

Unfortunately, the band’s music doesn’t always live up to the promise in Hut’s voice, though thankfully it succeeds 90% of the time.

A must-hear for any fan of dreamy, lazy day music.

Blissful-yet-bittersweet psychedelic music that is bound to conjure up some childhood memories.

On One, Brian John Mitchell explores drone to its fullest, bathing the listener in huge swaths of pure sonic drifts and tides.

If this does turn out to be the band’s last release, then it is a good note to go out on.

As much as I want to enjoy the album, it seems insistent on holding me at arm’s length.

It’s nothing particularly new, but it is remarkably solid, and they keep things refreshing and poignant.

It’s something pleasant and pretty to put on when you’re not looking for music that demands much attention.

I’m left curious as to where they might go from here.
