Big Bird and the Sesame Street Gang Are Coming to Tubi

Even as Netflix, Amazon Prime, and Apple continue to dominate the streaming platform environment, Tubi has been steadily racking up some noteworthy wins. Last August, nearly 800 classic Looney Tunes shorts began streaming on Tubi, and this past February, the platform became home to a bunch of animated titles from Warner Bros. and Cartoon Network. (Tubi also happens to be a prime source for Godfrey Ho’s infamously cheesy ninja films, but I digress…)

And now, Tubi has announced the latest jewel in their crown: Sesame Street. 250 episodes of the most iconic and beloved TV series of all time — you’re probably humming the theme song now even as you read this — will begin streaming on Tubi on April 1, 2026, with more to come. From the official announcement:

For over half a century, Sesame Street, produced by global nonprofit Sesame Workshop, has been a cornerstone of children’s media, enriching minds and nurturing a love of learning. Now Elmo, Cookie Monster, Abby Cadabby, and all their friends can be seen on Tubi with episodes that span from the show’s very beginning to Season 38. Every quarter, 10% of the episodes will be refreshed making additional episodes available for fans to discover.

As with all of Tubi’s titles, the Sesame Street episodes will be free to stream, albeit with the occasional commercial.
