“Foul-Weather Friend” by OSC
Originally composed for an animated short, this dreamy, reflective single is perfect rainy day listening.
It seems quite apropos to listen to OSC’s latest single, “Foul-Weather Friend,” on a rainy, overcast morning. Originally commissioned for an animated short by Danny Croland in which two strangers connect during a rainy day bus ride, the song is appropriately dreamy and reflective.
OSC eschews his trademark vaporwave and future funk tendencies (as heard on last year’s Sunrise Express) and instead, opts for gentle piano melodies and graceful synth textures. The resulting song is the perfect accompaniment for watching raindrops slide down the window as you contemplate your life’s current direction.
