As a lifelong Nebraskan who grew up with Cornhusker football, I’ve seen firsthand the agony and ecstasy of being a fan. I’ve seen what it means to be devoted to a team that makes you experience the highest of highs and the lowest of lows. Even so, I’ve never experienced even a fraction of what these Green Bay Packers fans experienced watching their team lose in particularly stunning fashion to the Chicago Bears on December 20, 2025.
The emotional roller coaster of hope and despair. The haunting expressions of pain and regret. The use of bear growls to censor the cuss words. The inclusion of Samuel Barber’s “Adagio for Strings.” It’s absolute perfection. Thank you, Mr. Flapjack, whoever you are, for giving us the purest cinema of 2025.
