“Assassination” by Halou
The recent single blends Portishead’s creep with shimmering 4AD-esque guitar textures and gorgeously hazy vocals.
For almost three decades, husband-wife duo Ryan and Rebecca Coseboom have released a string of acclaimed ethereal and dream pop albums and singles under the Halou and Stripmall Architecture monikers. “Assassination” is one of Halou’s most recent singles, released only this past May, and it seamlessly blends Portishead’s creep with shimmering 4AD-esque guitar textures and gorgeously hazy vocals.
Since “Assassination,” Halou have released another single titled “The Diver” and announced an upcoming concert in August with Waves Crashing and Soft Science.
