“Bloom” by Airiel

A lovely-sounding precursor to the shoegazers’ upcoming EP.

The latest single from Airiel is yet more evidence that the Chicago-based outfit is one of the best shoegaze outfits around. Evoking the dreamy, sweeping sounds of classic Ride and Kitchens of Distinction, but augmented with modern synth flourishes and Jeremy Wrenn’s starry-eyed vocals, Airiel’s music absolutely soars.

“Bloom” is the first single from the band’s upcoming EP, which will their first release since 2017’s excellent Molten Young Lovers.
