David Sylvian Presents Nine Horses

As soulful and eclectic as anything you’d expect to hear from folks of that caliber.
Nine Horses

Nine Horses is a musical project featuring David Sylvian, his brother Steve Jansen, Burnt Friedman, Stina Nordenstam, Supersilent’s Arve Henriksen, and Ryuichi Sakamoto. MP3 clips and additional information can be found at Samadhisound’s website.

I’ve only had a chance to listen to a couple clips so far, but it sounds amazing — as soulful and eclectic as anything you’d expect to hear from folks of that caliber. I’m surprised that Sylvian and Nordenstam haven’t collaborated before — their voices seem made for together.

In other Sylvian-related news, Pitchfork has just posted a lengthy interview with the man.
