Speaking of Twitch, Grady Hendrix has compiled a list of “Sixteen Films To See Before You Die!”

Also, the AV Club has compiled a list of “24 Great Films Too Painful To Watch Twice”. The list includes Requiem for a Dream, Grave of the Fireflies, and Dancer in the Dark.

Hikaru Utada is the world’s best selling artist in terms of digital downloads. Her songs have been purchased online 10,491,000 times since January 2007. Nearly 800,000 of those purchases have been of “Beautiful World,” the end theme to the recent Evangelion movie. Via

Alan Tudyk hints that there might be a new Serenity movie in the works. Don’t be surprised, however, if this is a direct to DVD title (an approach recently used by another cult sci-fi show, Babylon 5). All I can say is “Woohoo!”

Bungie — the folks behind a little-known game series called Halo (which grossed $300 million in its opening week) — may be parting ways with Microsoft. Apparently, Bungie doesn’t want to keep churning out Halo sequels (bring on Pimps At Sea!). Not surprisingly, TUAW posits what this might mean for Mac gaming, since Bungie originally developed games for the Mac (such as the acclaimed Marathon trilogy).

One of my favorite Mac utilities is Quicksilver, though I confess I use it primarily as an application launcher (even though it’s much, much more). Now along comes Sapiens, an app launcher that is based on mouse gestures. Looks interesting, but I’ll stick with the keyboard, methinks.
