“Glad” by Saint Etienne
Over the course of 35 years, the trio of Sarah Cracknell, Bob Stanley, and Pete Wiggs — better known as Saint Etienne — have established themselves as one of the world’s premier dance pop acts. Blending the vibe and arrangements of ’60s pop with rave and DJ culture, as well as an eclectic sense of experimentation, the trio’s music is as fun and catchy as it is thoughtful and sensitive.
But alas, all good things must eventually come to an end.
The trio have announced that the upcoming International will be their final album, bringing their illustrious career to an amicable end. International will feature a host of collaborators, including Vince Clarke (Erasure) and Paul Hartnoll (Orbital). As for the album’s effervescent first single, “Glad,” it was co-written by The Chemical Brothers’ Tom Rowlands and features Doves’ Jez Williams on guitar.
International will be released on September 5, 2025 by Heavenly Recordings. The album’s release will be followed a series of concert dates in 2026.
