“Merry Merry Christmastime (For My Baby)” by Ronnie Martin

The start of November is way too early to start thinking about Christmas, but I’ll make an exception for synth-pop maestro Ronnie Martin, who just released the first single from his upcoming Evergreen Melodie album.

“Merry Merry Christmastime (For My Baby)” contains all of the vintage-sounding bleeps and bloops you’d expect from the former Joy Electric frontman, who waxes romantic as he sings “Hang the garland, light the tree/For the memory/Have another Christmastime with me now.”

Evergreen Melodie will be released by Velvet Blue Music on November 14, 2025 on CD as well as “Christmas green” and “Peppermint” vinyl.
