Supporting Opus in 2026

As I draw ever closer to 30(!) years of posting online, I still have the same goal for Opus as ever: highlighting good, beautiful, and noteworthy pop culture. Opus has always been, and continues to be, a labor of love, and I intend to run it for as long as I possibly can — and you can help.

If you enjoy reading Opus, there are several ways that you can support my efforts here:

• Become a paying subscriber. For $5/month or $50/year, you’ll get access to sneak previews as well as subscriber exclusives, including playlists and podcasts. This money goes directly towards covering the expense of hosting and maintaining Opus.
• Buy a book or two from the official Opus Bookshop page, which features curated lists of recommended books. I get an affiliate commission on everything you buy there.
• Add Opus’ RSS feed to your favorite feed reader (e.g., Inoreader, Feedly, NewsBlur, NetNewsWire).
• Follow Opus on Bluesky, Facebook, and Threads, and share your favorite posts with your friends and family. Let’s fight the social media algorithms together!
