“Your Call is Important” by Steve Hauschildt

It’s hard to believe six years have passed since Steve Hauschildt’s last album, 2019’s Nonlin. During that time, Hauschildt has relocated to Tbilisi, Georgia whilst experiencing the turbulence and chaos that’s just part of our post-COVID years. His new album, titled Aeropsia, captures all of that upheaval with nine songs of shimmering, fluttering electronic music that exists in the liminal space between ambient, IDM, and Kosmische Musik.

“Your Call is Important” is one of Aeropsia’s highlights, and serves as a perfect showcase for Hauschildt’s ability to coax evocative electronic soundscapes from his array of analog and modular synths. With its sweeping ambient drifts, “Your Call is Important” certainly sounds epic, but Hauschildt’s attention to detail keeps the song by turns subdued, playful, and intimate.

Aeropsia will be released by Hauschildt’s own Simul Records label on October 17, 2025.
