My first reaction to the latest Omega offering was that they sounded so much more professional than they did a few years back; more “clean” sounding. There’s still a long way to go for this band, however. The keyboard work gives a techno flavor to the proceedings which Is kind of nice, but it’s rather repetitive. Most songs consist of the same loop played over and over. Another problem is with the lyrics — not much to them and a lot of silly rhymes. The best track is “Nothing at All” with its metal percussion, but even that one eventually succumbed to the above traps. On the brighter side, the improvement of this band is very evident and should continue in this positive direction with their next release.
