“Breathtaker” by Fine China

The Phoenix-based indie-pop legends have announced a new EP; listen to the first single.

Last year, Arizona’s Fine China released Trees at Night, a three-song EP that expanded upon the band’s classic ’80s-influenced pop to explore vintage New Age music à la Mannheim Steamroller and Windham Hill. “Breathtaker” — the first single from the band’s upcoming Eyes in the Water EP — may steer clear of the nature sounds and return to the band’s roots, but it’s still plenty dreamy thanks to Rob Withem’s breathy voice and some glittering synth-work.

Eyes in the Water will be released by Velvet Blue Music on October 19, 2023.
