“Call a Friend” by Slow Salvation

Slow Salvation’s latest single continues their proclivity for penning lush, languorous dream pop that evokes the likes of Mazzy Star, Bowery Electric, and Beach House. This time around, the duo of Christina Hernandez (vocals) and Travis Trevisan (guitars, vocals) are joined by drummer Matt McCartie (Driver Eight, a real blast from the past for us Chrindie folks) and bassist Heather Bray Heywood (Kissing Cousins).

Despite the band’s size doubling, “Call a Friend” remains as intimate and beguiling as Slow Salvation’s debut, Here We Lie.
