Lincoln’s Ross Theater Announces 2025 Summer Family Film Fest
This year’s line-up is a nice mix of modern and classic films.
If you live in Lincoln and need something to do with the kids this summer, then The Mary Riepma Ross Media Arts Center has got you covered. They recently announced their 2025 Family Film Fest, a series of free weekly screenings of family-friendly films. As you can see below, the line-up is a nice mix of modern and classic films.
- June 7: The Adventures of Robin Hood (1938, Michael Curtiz and William Keighley)
- June 14: The Land Before Time (1988, Don Bluth)
- June 21: Fantastic Mr. Fox (2009, Wes Anderson) and The Colours (1979, Abbas Kiarostami)
- June 28: Song of the Sea (2014, Tomm Moore)
- July 5: Paddington 2 (2017, Paul King)
- July 12: Mirai (2018, Mamoru Hosoda)
- July 19: Soul (2020, Pete Docter and Kemp Powers)
- July 26: Flow (2024, Gints Zilbalodis)
That’s a pretty solid lineup, and I’m particularly excited that people will have a chance to see both the Technicolor swashbuckling of The Adventures of Robin Hood (one of the all-time great action/adventure films) as well as the Oscar-winning animation of Flow (read my review).
All screenings — which, let me remind you, are free — take place on Saturday mornings at 11am.
