Terminator 2D: No Fate’s First Teaser is the 16-bit Nostalgia Rush I Needed

My inner 10th grader is ready to take on the T-1000.

Back in the day, Terminator 2: Judgment Day was my absolute favorite movie. After a friend lent me a VHS copy that he’d recorded off HBO, I watched it so many times I’m honestly surprised the tape didn’t melt in our family’s VHS player. Not surprisingly, I pumped a lot of quarters into the Terminator 2 arcade game at Omaha’s Family Fun Center (RIP).

So naturally, this teaser for the upcoming Terminator 2D: No Fate is right up my alley. The 2D side-scroller is filled with pixel-perfect recreations of scenes from the movie as well as new material. And all of it is a pure nostalgia rush that’s got my inner 10th grader all kinds of excited. Here’s the official synopsis:

Play as Sarah Connor and the T-800 through a variety of thrilling missions as they take on the T-1000 and try to put a stop to Skynet’s plans before the human race is annihilated. Lead the Resistance as John Connor in the future, fighting on the front lines as mankind’s only hope in the War Against the Machines. In this unique story blending iconic scenes from Terminator 2: Judgment Day with original scenarios and multiple endings, humanity’s fate is yours to decide.

Terminator 2D: No Fate will be released on September 5, 2025 by Bitmap Bureau for PlayStation 4 (PS4), PlayStation 5 (PS5), Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S, Nintendo Switch, and PC (Steam).
