4AD Announces 35th Anniversary Edition of Lush’s Gala

The 1990 compilation collects the shoegaze band’s earliest releases.
Lush

Originally released in 1990 as a way to introduce Lush to American and Japanese audiences, Gala collected the shoegaze band’s first three EPs — 1989’s Scar, 1990’s Mad Love, and 1990’s Sweetness and Light — in reverse order, along with a couple of bonus tracks.

To mark the compilation’s 35th anniversary, 4AD is reissuing Gala with remastered audio, updated artwork, and a new biography penned by Jenny Hval. Here’s the full tracklist:

  1. Sweetness and Light
  2. Sunbathing
  3. Breeze
  4. De-Luxe
