“Astroautomata” by Kid Tigrrr

Kid Tigrrr’s Jenna Fournier describes her latest single, “Astroautomata,” as “the most poppy dream pop” from her upcoming record, and its shimmering melodies and fay vocals certainly support that statement. Fournier’s wisp of a voice is the biggest draw here as it glides effortlessly over effects-laden guitars while she sings “Wait outside my head, I’ll see you in the sky/I’ll spread my wings just like you said/And baby, I’ll learn to fly.”

I’ve been following Kid Tigrrr with interest ever since hearing her wonderful cover of The Cure’s “To Wish Impossible Things” and songs like “Astroautomata” and the previously released “Dinosaur” have me increasingly eager to hear her new full-length when it’s finally released.
