Seefeel’s Quique (Redux) Gets Remastered, Reissued on Vinyl

One of my favorite albums gets remastered for a new era.

Seefeel’s debut album Quique is a perennial favorite here at Opus HQ. Originally released in 1993, the nine-song album perfectly bridged the worlds of shoegaze, ambient, jungle, and electronic music, blending ethereal female vocals and vaprous guitars with minimal atmospherics, dubby basslines, and programmed beats (read my review).

In 2007, Too Pure released a two-disc “Redux” version of the album that added some rare remixes and previously unreleased songs. And now, Beggars Arkive is releasing a new edition of Quique (Redux) that’s been remastered by Abbey Road’s Geoff Pesche and, for the first time ever, pressed onto vinyl. (This follows similar Beggars Arkive reissues of The Nefilim, The Charlatans, and Mark Lanegan.)

Quique Redux (2025 Remaster) will be released by Beggars Arkive on March 28, 2025 as a digital download, double CD, and 4xLP. Both the CD and LP versions feature new artwork.
