“The Night Before the Funeral” by The Mary Onettes

The Mary Onettes will be touring the States this month, and as an added bonus, they’ve released a new single titled “The Night Before the Funeral.” It was originally released as a limited edition 7,” which, of course, sold out in the blink of an eye. Thankfully, the kind folks at Stereogum have posted the song for those of us who missed it the first time around.

As for the song itself, it’s pretty much what we’ve come to expect from the group: lovely (read: gloriously mopey) ’80s-influenced pop. Which is quite alright with me.
