Reviews of Music, Movies, Anime & More

A good debut effort, but it could’ve been polished up a little more.

Textured soundscapes that captivate the listener into their dark and beautiful sonic atmospheres.

30 minutes of “post-industrial death funk” that is sure to leave you completely numb.

The lyrics make you think. The sound makes you move.

Makes a fine replacement for those who have nuked their NIN CDs.

Industrial funk-rock. Meat Beat Manifesto with a rock band.

What’s fascinating about RAIJ is their ability to marry a diversity of musical elements into cohesive compositions.

A very elegant, very dark, yet very spiritual and majestic CD.

One of the most unique bands in the world.

I’d really like to see both of these bands get some quality studio time and the support of a record label.

There’s still a long way to go for this band.

NovCom is definitely a band to watch.

Definitely influenced by mid-eighties electronic body music.

Arguably the best stuff from New Society since 1990’s True Faith cassette.

A dramatic departure from the hard alternative sound of Wake.

This self-titled CD hearkens back to the days of Lusis and Fathom, yet without taking a step backwards.

Heavy, thought-provoking, and imaginative.

This could easily be their best release to date.

More of the same, except better production quality.

Very HEAVY stuff.
